Well, we put in 3 teams between the Bullets and Snipers - and what a day!!!
Traditionally cold and wet (who would believe it after the week we have just had) - but that didn't stop the girls having a great day!!
Team A, run by Barry & Rob, consisting of Beth, Alex, Lucy, Sian, Chloe and Nancy all returned home with their winners trophies!!!
They managed to secure their place in the semi finals by beating Asfordby, Oadby & Wigston C, and Weddington. Their final group round game against Rugby B was goal-less. However, the semi final against Rugby A proved a nailbiting moment when they condeded their first goal of the tournament and were held to a 1 - 1 draw at full time. Extra time however, was enough to secure a further 2 goals with some fantastic play from all and not forgetting a fantastic goal from Beth taken from the half-way line.
The Final against Rugby B was a very tense time too, however, a brilliant goal from Alex was all that was needed!
Goals scored - Nancy, Beth and Alex and many saved by Chloe, and we must not forget the tremendous play from Defenders Sian and Lucy.
