Oadby and Wigston Rovers have reached the FA County Cup Final by beating Leicester City U12s 1-0 on penalties. The match itself finished 2-2 after extra time.

Rovers settled very quickly and against the odds soared into a 2-0 lead with two very well taken goals. Rovers continued to press and play their best football of the season and only the post stopped them taking a 3-0 lead.

Leicester rallied and the 2-0 deficit very quickly became 2-2. This was the half-time score.

Both sides threatened to score the all important 5th goal but the score reamined 2-2 af the end of extra time.

The game was to be settled on penalties. The first 6 penalties were saved by the keepers before Rovers finally went into the lead again. The next 2 penatlies were then saved by the keepers, meaning Leicester had to score. The Rover's keeper made a fantastic save, diving to the top corner to tip the ball over the post.

A fantastic game of football and a great advert for the U12s league. It's a shame there had to be a loser because both sides deserved to win.
