O&W Girls v USA

Sunday 25th July 2010 saw the USA team visit our home ground for a friendly match against a combined team of O&W girls. Given the holiday season was on us we still managed to have a full turn out of players. O&W players from the U16, U15 and U14 age groups played together to put on a great performance against the American team. The USA players were clearly a polished side and looked as though they had played together for some time. Although our girls lost the game the American team knew they had been in a match. The final result was 10-1 to the USA and they certainly deserved the win. Well done to all who attended and took part in playing for the club, you worked extremely hard in what was a very hot day. Congratulations to the girls of the USA team for a great display of football and we wish them well for the future. Thanks to all those who organised and supported the day, your efforts were appreciated.
