Match Report – League Cup Semi-FinalDaventry Town vs U12 Vixens

54

This week, the girls travelled away to face Daventry Town in the semi-final of the League Cup. After a long journey, they arrived focused, calm, and ready to put in a strong performance.

From the very first whistle, the team took control—moving the ball with confidence and composure. It didn’t take long before we found the back of the net. Despite some incredible saves from the Daventry keeper and determined defending, our persistence paid off with a second goal just before half-time, making it 2–0 at the break.

The second half saw the girls come out just as strong. They stayed organised, worked hard off the ball, and played some fantastic team football. We added a few more goals quickly and maintained our focus throughout, refusing to let complacency slip in. The match ended with a dominant 7–0 victory and a spot in the final secured!

🏆Player of the Match was Caoimhe who was absolutely outstanding in midfield—tirelessly working, providing quality through balls, and constantly communicating to organise the team. Her leadership and energy were key in maintaining our high level of play. A brilliant performance!

A massive well done to every single player. Week after week, this team turns up, listens, works hard, and—most importantly—has fun. So proud of them all!

Bring on the Final! 🏆⚽️💪
