O&W U12 v Kibworth Town U12 – 07.04.24

Outstanding 14-0 Win today! Fantastic effort by all the girls, not one of you dropped your level and everyone worked hard throughout. Even with 7 girls against their 10, we kept scoring goal after goal which shows the improvement and level we are now playing at. Three games left now and hopefully three more wins🤞. Player of the match is a tough one and could have been between a few of the girls but today Katie was the player. She is always a rock in defense and holds us together at the back. She also always shows great sportsmanship and support for her team mates when on the bench, so well done Katie. 👏🏻

O&W U11 Vixens v O&W U11 Lionesses – Cup Game 24.03.24

U11 Vixens faced one of Oadby & Wigston’s other U11 team, the Lionesses in the semi finals of the County Cup today and what a fantastic performance from every single player on both teams! 👌⚽️ Both Oadby & Wigston teams battled hard and it was a great match to watch from start to finish. The Lionesses scored first but the Vixens kept up the pressure and equalised early in the second half. Despite the Vixens hitting the crossbar of the goal countless times, it was still a draw at full time. Vixens got the win on penalties and are through to the finals at Holmes Park on 17th April! 🎉 Player of the match 🏆 today goes to everyone, you all got behind each other and gave consistent support when needed, you should all be so proud of what you have achieved this season! 👏🏻

O&W U12 v Haunchwood Sports Juniors U12 – 03/03/24

I just want to start by thanking you all for your help with setting up packing up and Chris for helping with the line. It really does make a huge difference. Now the game. I felt all the girls battled well today and a big hats off to the girls who didn’t play their favourite positions. There was a logic to it as we were missing Imogen and Isla and I was worried about them attacking as they are the division above. I felt we was the better team in the first half even with them taking the lead. Everyone did well though and we came on strong after the wonder goal and I think there can only be one player of the match after that goal. Not just that, I think she was a rock in midfield and they really struggled to break through- SOFIA 👏🏻
