What a way to kick off the league! 👏 The girls showed determination, teamwork, and grit from start to finish. After going 2–0 down in the first half, Sienna pulled one back just before the whistle to make it 2–1 ⚽️. Today the Foxes played their last game of the season against Ashby Ivanhoe. Both teams performance was outstanding and was a very enjoyable match to watch. Some nail biting near miss shots, from both sides, meant it was a nail biting game! The foxes came out well during the first half, composed and bossing that right wing. Sienna, as always running up and down that line, crossed the ball in to find Autumn who sent the ball to the back of the net to make it 1-0. ⚽️ A couple of special mentions during the first half. Poppy for her tenacity and strength and Laraya who worked hard to keep the defensive line and won almost all her challenges. Both girls gaining in confidence with each game they play which is great to see! Second half saw Ashby come back fighting, they made our defense work hard and managed to get an equaliser. But our Foxes kept pushing and were successful in a second goal, Niamh blasted the ball from the wing, straight to Sienna who out beat the keeper to hit the back of the net ⚽️ Ashby Ivanhoe managed to pull back another goal just 1 minute before the final whistle was blown leaving the final score 2-2. Girl of the game today was Maddison 👏🏻 she worked really hard today, she was a force in defence and she battled well so well done

Great game today girls against Oadby Owls. Losing 6-2 was never the result we wanted, it was a tough, very unorganised game but dispite the circumstances you held our own! You all battled well and did not let it dampen your performance. Some outstanding saves from Sophie in the first half, even a penalty that was very close to the goal but her hands weren’t letting that one past her 🧤cracking Soph well done. We had a half time game changer come on that wasn’t afraid to get stuck in, battled immensely and seen herself bagging Girl of the Game and that was Loula! 🏆 Second half also seen Ivie step back into goalkeeping position and proceeded to make some outstanding saves 🧤well done Ivie. Goal scorer today was on her way to a Hatrick and that was Tahiya scoring both our goals ⚽️⚽️ amazing! Girls you went in with your all, you proceeded to show everyone some good passes and challenges and played great as a team. Keep that team 🦊spirit we know and love!
