O&W U14s vs Loughborough U14s 07/12/2015

What a game today! We travelled to Loughborough and came away with a hard-earned point against a very strong side. Our recent focus on defensive positioning really showed — the girls were disciplined, smart, and confident. Their three goals came from absolute wonder strikes that nobody was stopping! From the first whistle we were outstanding: moving the ball brilliantly, making clever runs, and creating chance after chance. We genuinely felt like the better team and were unlucky not to take all three points. Towards the end of the first half the tempo dipped a little and we gave them too much time on the ball — something we addressed at half-time. But the second half? Outstanding again. The final goal came from a superb passing move straight off the training ground, finished with an exceptional touch and finish from Ruby to round the keeper. Safe to say the celebrations were BIG! Every single player grafted today. The desire to keep pushing for goals, the communication, the teamwork — brilliant to watch. And a huge shoutout to Phoebe for putting her body on the line late on! Players of the Match: Isla S & Isobel — well deserved! A brilliant 3–3 draw, with goals from Jess, Ruby & Georgia adding to the tally. Proud of every single one of them! ⚽💙🙌

O&W U14s v Epworth Forest 16/11/25

Today we hosted Epworth forest in the last 16 of the county cup. Straight from the whistle we played some brilliant football. The passing and moving was incredible. Every girl did their job and I cannot find one criticism today from any girl, and this reflected the score…… 6-0!!!. Goals coming from:Sofia – 1Isla S – 2Jess – 1Tallullas – 1And an own goal. I must add aswell, corners have always been our weakness in games and today 3 of the goals came from a corner, so a massive improvement from the girls. Players of the match went to Jess and Tallullah, both were fantastic, well done girls 🏅.

O&W U14s v Asfordby Ameturs U14 – 26/10/25

Another tough game today against the team that won the league last season. We created a lot of chances but just couldn’t find the net.1-1 final whistle. Defensively again we were solid with all the girls having a great game. Thanks to our Tallullah for stepping up in goal again. Some fantastic saves from her and running out to secure the ball. Our goal came from a brilliantly worked phase of play. This is what we need to focus on in training as I feel this is where we are really dangerous, wingers driving down the line and crossing the ball into the middle and was professionally placed on by Jess! Player of the match was awarded to Sofia 🏅she was everywhere today and protecting her back 4 so well done 👏🏻 Enjoy the rest of your weekend and we go again next week ⚽️👊💙

O&W U14s v East Goscote U14 – 12/10/25

Well what a game that was!! Another win under our belt and what a win it was. Every girl was on it today and I would say that was probably one of the best team performances I’ve seen from the girls. Massive shout out to Tallullah and Georgia for stepping up and doing a half each in goal, both girls pulled off some great saves and stopped them running onto anything. 2 cracking goals from Jess which secured us the 2-0 win 💪. Again today was an extremely difficult decision for player of the match as everyone had a cracking game. But today we felt Millie deserved it. She didn’t let anything get past her and it was so good to see her confidence growing. Thanks all again for the help with the pitch at the end and let’s carry on this winning streak 👊⚽️

O&W U14s v Epworth Forest U13s Leavue Cup Game – 05/10/25

Today we saw our first league cup game away at epworth forest bears and what a game it was. Every player did their job today and they all pulled together and played some great football. 3-1 victory in Penalties. ⚽️⚽️⚽️ Some stand out performances today but Isobel’s performance in training Saturday and the match today was well deserved to get the player of the match 🏆 Some great penalties from the girls which secured us through to the next fixture. Hope this continues through the season and if we keep consistency, we will do very well this season.

Oadby & Wigston U14s v Groby Juniors Vixens U14s 14/09/2025

A great performance from the girls today despite a tough 2–1 result. The first half was evenly matched – Georgia shone early on, holding the ball up brilliantly and delivering some fantastic passes out wide. Jess’s determination then set up Isla, who calmly slotted home the equaliser to bring us back into the game ⚽️. In the second half, we looked the stronger side with most of the possession and plenty of chances. Sofia and Neve bossed the midfield, breaking things up and driving play forward, with Neve especially everywhere – winning tackles and even pushing for goal herself. Unfortunately, the opposition bagged a 2nd goal. Every single girl put in a shift today 💪 – we deserved more, but that’s football. ✨ Players of the Match: Georgia & Neve 👏Final Score: Oadby & Wigston 1 – 2 Groby Juniors OadbyAndWigstonGirlsFC #GrassrootsFootball #GirlsFootball

O&W U14s v Wigston Willows Comets 07.09.25

Great performance for the most part today. We were back at the high pressure aggressive football we all got used to seeing last season. Hopefully the girls will continue to kick on now and show that level of energy every week.A few things to work on and discuss in training but over all me and Blaine couldn’t be prouder of the girls. Solid at the back with Katie showing great leadership, solid in midfield with great energy from all and aggressive and consistent upfront. It was very hard to pick the player of the match today and after me and Blaine decided it would be between Ruby and Sofia, the girls picked Fifi. Well done Fifi! Great start to the season with a 4-1 win!!!! 🥇

O&W U13s v Harborough Town U13 06/04/25

Great effort from the girls today. That’s second place wrapped up and what a great year it’s been. Solid at the back today as always and some great chances up front. I said to Alice it’s your last chance, you’re coming off the next time it goes out. No sooner had the words left my mouth she goes and volleys it in. She really wanted to play well against her former club so that was nice to see. Some real dangerous attacks today from all involved but today we decided to go with Tallulah as player of the match. Tallulah always puts in a solid performance but has started to make some lovely pass and move situations and seems to really be understanding the game more so well done Tallulah. 6-0 win 🎉⚽️🎉⚽️

Oadby & Wigston U13s vs Ashfordby Amateurs U13s Match Report – 10/02/25

Fantastic result today. It was clear to see the work the girls have done in training with the passes and movement. Blaine and I both felt all the girls brought their A game today. There wasn’t a poor performance from anyone. Millie was a wall today, Ruby relentless as always. Tallulah none stop battling and that’s just to name a few. It was so hard to pick player of the match Alice and Tallulah both with hat tricks. On any other week tallulah would have won with the energy she put in but as Alice was playing out of position and is new to the team we decided to award it to Alice. 3 by Alice2 by Tallulah1 by Paige1 by Jess7-0 win 🥇 The sky’s the limit with these girls roll on Daventry. 💪🏻👊🏻
