O&W U13 Vixens V Nuneaton Borough Devils 12/10/25

It was another game played in challenging conditions as the U13 Vixens hosted Nuneaton Borough Devils in thick fog, which made visibility tough at times. Despite that, the girls started brightly, showing great energy and determination to take an early 2–0 lead. Nuneaton fought back strongly, however, managing to turn the game around and go into half-time 3–2 up. The Vixens came out firing after the break, quickly levelling the score at 3–3 with some excellent attacking play. Both sides continued to push forward, creating plenty of chances in an end-to-end second half. Eventually, both teams found the net again, bringing the match to an exciting 4–4 draw. It was a great team performance full of effort, creativity, and resilience from the Vixens. 👏 The parents’ Player of the Match went to Sienna V, who was outstanding while taking on a new role in midfield and showed fantastic composure and work rate throughout. 🏆 A brilliant display from the girls once again — plenty to be proud of! 💪

U13 Vixens vs Loughborough Foxes Royals – 05/10/25

The Vixens hosted Loughborough Foxes Royals this weekend in very windy conditions, which made it difficult for both teams to play their usual football. Despite the blustery weather, the girls showed great determination and teamwork throughout the match. There were plenty of exciting moments, with the Vixens hitting the bar, the post, and seeing several efforts go just wide before finally finding their rhythm. Once they managed to break down the opposition’s defence, the goals started to flow. Sisi was in fantastic form, netting a brilliant hat trick, while Ronnie and Lyra each added a goal of their own to secure a strong 5–2 win. Ronnie’s hard work and commitment throughout the game earned her the Player of the Match, as chosen by the parents. 🏆 A great team effort all round, showing resilience, patience, and plenty of attacking flair despite the challenging conditions.

O&W U13 Vixens vs Daventry Panthers 28/09/25

The girls made the long trip to Daventry on Sunday to take on the Panthers, and they returned home with smiles all round after a fantastic team performance. A new change of formation was trialled, and it immediately looked to suit the girls’ style of play. They showed great determination and fight across all areas of the pitch, combining strong defending with some really exciting attacking football. The goals were spread around the team, with Isla, Sisi, Amber and Paris all finding the back of the net – a real positive with players scoring from different positions within the formation. Another goal came courtesy of an opposition own goal, forced by Ronnie’s relentless pressure and dangerous cross into the box. The team produced some excellent passages of play, moving the ball quickly and creating plenty of chances, while at the back they stood firm and dealt confidently with any Daventry counter-attacks. That resilience and teamwork meant the girls secured their first clean sheet of the season, a credit to the whole squad’s effort and concentration. 💪 Charlotte’s tireless performance in central midfield didn’t go unnoticed, as she was deservedly awarded Parents’ Player of the Match. 🏆 Overall, it was a dominant and well-rounded display from the girls, who should be very proud of their progress and their team spirit. 👏

O&W U13 Vixens vs Heather Juniors Hawkettes 21/09/25

This week the Vixens welcomed newly promoted Heather Juniors Hawkettes, who had skipped straight from Silver to Platinum after an unbeaten season. It promised to be a tough contest, and it lived up to expectations. Unlike recent weeks, the Vixens started strongly, pressing from the first whistle in a new, more attacking formation. They dominated possession and created plenty of chances, but struggled to finish. Zay opened the scoring with a composed strike from Lyra’s cross, before two lapses at the back saw the visitors lead 1-2 at half-time. The Vixens kept pushing after the break, and Sisi levelled with a tidy finish following battling play from Ronnie. The decisive goal came late on when Ronnie’s perfectly weighted through-ball found Paris, who coolly chipped the keeper for 3-2 victory. 🏆 Maisie B was deservedly named Player of the Match for her brilliant defensive efforts, standing firm whenever the Hawkettes threatened. While frustration lingered at missed chances, the performance showed plenty of positives—dominant attacking play, adaptability in new positions, and a well-earned win! 👏

O&W U13 Vixens vs Nuneaton Borough Demons

Our second league game of the season saw us travel away to Nuneaton Borough Demons, and the girls put in another fantastic performance, coming away with a brilliant 5–2 win. The day brought a few challenges – with some players unavailable at kick-off and a brand-new formation introduced on the spot – but the team rose to the occasion superbly. Despite little time to adjust, they showed great adaptability and commitment, proving once again how quickly they’re learning and growing together. The playing surface wasn’t the easiest, with long grass and some uneven patches, but the girls didn’t let that affect them. Instead, they got stuck in, worked hard for each other, and played some exciting football. Navae opened the scoring with a composed finish, before Rocket doubled our lead. Sisi then stole the show with a fantastic hat trick, securing the win in style. Her all-round performance earned her the Parents’ Player of the Match award – thoroughly deserved! 🏆 This 5–2 victory means another three points on the board and plenty of confidence to take into the next game. With more time to work on the new formation in training, there’s no doubt this squad will continue to go from strength to strength.

O&W U13 Vixens v Anstey Nomads Wild Cats 07.09.25

Match Report – Opening Day Victory for U13 Vixens Wow! What a start to the season that was. I’m sure it was a great game to watch…for the neutral! 😅 It was a brilliant contest between two determined teams, but our girls came out on top with a deserved 4–2 victory over Anstey Nomads. It was always going to be difficult with three players missing, especially when they all play in the same positional group. A massive thank you to the girls who shuffled around the formation and stepped into unfamiliar roles – you did the team proud. In days gone by, I could imagine players losing their composure when it looked like the game might be slipping away. But today, every single one of these fantastic girls kept their heads, dug deep, and fought back to secure the win. I’m really proud of the resilience shown, and delighted they got the result they deserved. From start to finish, I thought our girls were the better team. We spent large spells camped in the opposition half, trying to play the better football, and never settled for the draw. That determination was rewarded with three well-earned points against a side who will no doubt be challenging again this season. ⚽️💪🏻 The goals came courtesy of Sisi ⚽️⚽️ and Paris ⚽️⚽️, whose attacking quality proved too much for the opposition. Finally, a special mention to Paris, who was rightly named Player of the Match 🏆 for an outstanding performance that drove the team forward at key moments. 👏 Well done girls – first three points in the bag and plenty more to come!

Match Report – League Cup Semi-FinalDaventry Town vs U12 Vixens

This week, the girls travelled away to face Daventry Town in the semi-final of the League Cup. After a long journey, they arrived focused, calm, and ready to put in a strong performance. From the very first whistle, the team took control—moving the ball with confidence and composure. It didn’t take long before we found the back of the net. Despite some incredible saves from the Daventry keeper and determined defending, our persistence paid off with a second goal just before half-time, making it 2–0 at the break. The second half saw the girls come out just as strong. They stayed organised, worked hard off the ball, and played some fantastic team football. We added a few more goals quickly and maintained our focus throughout, refusing to let complacency slip in. The match ended with a dominant 7–0 victory and a spot in the final secured! 🏆Player of the Match was Caoimhe who was absolutely outstanding in midfield—tirelessly working, providing quality through balls, and constantly communicating to organise the team. Her leadership and energy were key in maintaining our high level of play. A brilliant performance! A massive well done to every single player. Week after week, this team turns up, listens, works hard, and—most importantly—has fun. So proud of them all! Bring on the Final! 🏆⚽️💪

O&W U12 Vixens vs Anstey Nomads 23rd March ‘25

The Vixens put in a gritty and disciplined display to earn a well deserved 1-0 victory in their second league match against Anstey Nomads this season. From the first whistle, the defensive unit was outstanding, staying alert to nullify Anstey’s constant long-ball threat. Their speed, awareness, and smart positioning kept the opposition at bay throughout. On the rare occasions the Nomads broke through, the Vixens’ goalkeeper was there with brave, committed stops, putting her body on the line to help secure another clean sheet. A slightly adjusted midfield setup showed just how adaptable this Vixens squad is, with no dip in performance. The players worked tirelessly, linking up well and maintaining control for much of the first half, with possession largely in the opposition’s half. Despite this, the sides went in level at the break. The second half saw more of the same calm, composed play. A well-worked move involving sharp passing, a switch of play, tidy footwork, and a pinpoint cross was capped off by a confident, composed finish from Amber — a goal that ultimately sealed the result. Despite the low scoreline, the match was packed with action. The Vixens combined strong defending, quality goalkeeping, smart combination play through the middle, and unselfish work up front to earn a hard-fought win over a resilient Anstey team. 🏆Player of the Match was Sienna Virgo – for her tenacious, intelligent defending and leadership at the back under constant pressure. A brilliant performance, well deserved! Well done, Vixens — once again showing quality, effort, and excellent team spirit! 💪

O&W U12 Vixens vs Narborough Foxes 30th March ‘25

In a crucial league match against top of the table rivals Narborough Foxes, the Vixens delivered an outstanding team performance to come away with a deserved victory. The Vixens started on the front foot, moving the ball with purpose and showing real determination. A brilliant corner was met by Rocket, who rose highest to head home a fantastic opener. The pressure continued, and it wasn’t long before Sisi added a second with a well-taken finish. The second half saw the Vixens pick up right where they left off—full of energy, sharp passing, and great teamwork. The players supported each other brilliantly and communicated well to stay organised across the pitch. Sisi, closely marked throughout, still managed to break through twice more to complete a superb hat-trick. 🏆 Player of the Match was Rocket – For her tireless work rate, energy all over the pitch, and a top-quality header.Special mention to Sisi for a fantastic hat-trick and constant threat up front. 👏 A brilliant all-round performance from the Vixens—well done, girls!

O&W U12 Vixens vs Barrow Town 2nd April ‘25

The Vixens put in another strong team performance on a windy evening in their midweek league fixture against Barrow Town. Despite the tricky conditions, the girls showed great composure, control, and team spirit from start to finish. The Vixens started with plenty of energy and looked to play their passing game, though the swirling wind made the game challenging at times. Even so, they dominated possession and stayed patient. After settling into the rhythm of the game, they began to move the ball with confidence and create chances. Four well-taken goals saw them take a commanding lead into half-time. The second half saw the Vixens step up another gear. They won every challenge, supported each other brilliantly, and played some excellent football. Another four goals followed, rounding off an impressive 8-0 victory. Credit also goes to the defence and goalkeeper, who stayed focused throughout and helped secure a well-earned clean sheet. With the game under control, the coaches took the chance to mix things up—playing several players out of position to test their versatility. The girls embraced the challenge and continued to impress across the pitch. 🏆Player of the Match was Caoimhe – A standout display full of energy, winning every ball and driving the team forward. Another great all-round performance from the Vixens—well done, girls! 👏
