A great performance from the girls today despite a tough 2–1 result. The first half was evenly matched – Georgia shone early on, holding the ball up brilliantly and delivering some fantastic passes out wide. Jess’s determination then set up Isla, who calmly slotted home the equaliser to bring us back into the game ⚽️.
In the second half, we looked the stronger side with most of the possession and plenty of chances. Sofia and Neve bossed the midfield, breaking things up and driving play forward, with Neve especially everywhere – winning tackles and even pushing for goal herself. Unfortunately, the opposition bagged a 2nd goal.
Every single girl put in a shift today 💪 – we deserved more, but that’s football.
