This week the Vixens welcomed newly promoted Heather Juniors Hawkettes, who had skipped straight from Silver to Platinum after an unbeaten season. It promised to be a tough contest, and it lived up to expectations.
Unlike recent weeks, the Vixens started strongly, pressing from the first whistle in a new, more attacking formation. They dominated possession and created plenty of chances, but struggled to finish. Zay opened the scoring with a composed strike from Lyra’s cross, before two lapses at the back saw the visitors lead 1-2 at half-time.
The Vixens kept pushing after the break, and Sisi levelled with a tidy finish following battling play from Ronnie. The decisive goal came late on when Ronnie’s perfectly weighted through-ball found Paris, who coolly chipped the keeper for 3-2 victory.
🏆 Maisie B was deservedly named Player of the Match for her brilliant defensive efforts, standing firm whenever the Hawkettes threatened.
While frustration lingered at missed chances, the performance showed plenty of positives—dominant attacking play, adaptability in new positions, and a well-earned win! 👏
